Table Lamp FRENCH Vintage Art Nouveau Accent Light Green Pate de Verre Shade

  

This is a truly superb French original Art Nouveau table lamp. Made from real brass, not painted base metal, and with a wonderful dark green pate de verre glass tulip shade. The shade has white flecks on the inside, providing this striking mottled colouring when the lamp is on.

The lamp stem has subtle leaf curls and there is a delightful little ball and socket joint, with a turning catch so that the lamp head can be pivoted in any direction required. I believe it has been fairly recently re-wired, the wiring, inline on/off switch and bulb holder are in excellent condition and certainly not the age of the lamp or shade. Its such a striking Art Nouveau design and will look great in any Art Nouveau themed room. An ideal gift for anyone with a love of French design.

It could also be a great prop for any production with an Art Nouveau vintage scene. In EXCELLENT vintage condition with very few signs of age or past use. Clearly it is in working order. The wiring has a French 2 pin plug, so will need changing or to be used with an adapter if you want to use it outside of Europe. If you are concerned about its safety, you should get it professionally tested.
