Stunning Loetz Iridescent Green'neptune' Pattern Glass Vase

  
STUNNING LOETZ IRIDESCENT GREEN'NEPTUNE' PATTERN GLASS VASE. This is a superb Loetz green iridescent Art Nouveau glass vase which dates, I would guess, to the first few years of the 20th century (I think this model was designed in 1906) and was made at the Loetz factory Bohemia and is referred to as the'Neptune' pattern. It is depicted in a waisted cylindrical form with green iridescent Candida?

Decorative colourway and relief textured seaweed surface. While the base has a polished pontil. It measures 7" (18cm) H x 3 1/2" (9cm) W approx; and is in excellent original condition, however there are some fractures inside the polished pontil (my guess is this occurred when the pontil was broken and just polished over) this, not withstanding, there are no defects to report - the only pity is that my photographs really doesn't do justice to the beautiful lustre. This is a superb piece of period Art Nouveau iridescent glass from one of the very best producers which is in great condition that with a low start price should generate a good deal of interest. THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS SALE.

Almost everything I sell is in the condition I have bought it, unless otherwise stated, (I have learnt to my cost in the past not to tamper with an item), and therefore I have neither had items repaired nor restored.
