The item is more commonly known as a handled classic urn flower vase. It is executed in Frederick Carder's Jade Green and Alabaster style of glass.

This beautiful vase is large as it stands 9 1/2" tall and has a diameter of 7" outside handles measurements. The top opening is 4 7/16 in diameter outside measurement.

The round foot has a diameter of 3 7/8. This vase has a classic Greek Urn shape with 2 applied handles at the shoulder of the vase. The body is one complete piece of art glass. The vase displays a beautiful jade green background glass that has 2 wonderfully applied alabaster white handles. The handles consist of 2 number 7 shaped pieces of glass that are fused to the neck and attached to each other forming a looped handled on each side. These handles are delicate and this vase was very hard to for the glass blower to execute.

The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, or dings. There is no damage to any of the handles and this is somewhat uncommon as this was the first area to have damage when found. This one is almost as good as the day it was made. There are the typical age wear scratches on the underside bottom.

The vase is not signed but there is no doubt as to who made this vase. It is a well documented form and is known as shape number "6795" in the Steuben catalog of shapes. This is a quality piece of art glass and will enhance any art glass collection. Those of you who collect Steuben vases and want a nice example in jade and alabaster do not want to miss this opportunity. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.
