Antique Art Nouveau RS Prussia Royal Vienna Style Germany Lily Mold Vase Countryside Castle Scene. Pleased to offer this lovely Art Nouveau Royal Vienna Style Germany Cabinet Vase. It features a lily in relief at top of both sides of vase. Gilt gold scroll asymmetrical handles, pierced detail at base, hand painted castle lake rural scene with 2 figures one on land and one in the boat. Colors are predominately green, yellow and blue. The alternate side of vase features a wispy, ethereal tree. This is known as the castle scene in RS Prussia and Royal Vienna porcelains. I have tried to find what Royal Vienna mold this is but haven't come across it in my books. The vase measures 7 1/8 inches in height and 3 1/2 inches across at base. Top opening is 2 7/8 inches.

Condition is quite good for this 19th century vase. There are a few areas of wear on rim of vase where yellow has lightened. I don't see any restoration. There is a small area that may be a very slight flake to the porcelain but also could just be just a rubbing away of the gold.

It is quite minimal and does not detract at all. Overall there are spots of rubbing to the gilt mainly to the rim and the left handle. It displays very well and is highly detailed.

It is marked on the bottom in red Royal Vienna Germany with a crown. This is Royal Vienna Germany mark 2 in red from Mary Gaston's RS Prussia book 4. From my research I believe this dates the vase to the time period of 1890 to turn of the century.

The colors are lovely in how it shades from green to blue on the soft yellow as well as shading to yellow into the top interior of the vase. A gorgeous German porcelain vase for your collection and would also make a lovely gift! I have many other porcelains listed now- be sure to take a look.
