For sale we have a beautiful original 1920 model 2487 large 9 Rookwood Paneled Floral Motif Art Nouveau or Art Deco Art Pottery Vase. This large beauty has a alluring shaded blue crystalline drip glaze with mottling and thick subtle drips. The colors change from a beautiful rich sky blue into a teal blue green coloration on the lower portion of the vase. The Art Nouveau style flowers appear to be Bluebells, Lilies and Pansies.
The curvature form on this vase is also pleasing. The drips are seen on the entire vase. The pattern is referred to as Three Panel Florals.
The floral pattern and drips are crisp and strong throughout the entire vase. There is no fading to the colors or mold on any area of this beauty.
The glaze is in a semi glossy matt with a shinny appearance. The embossed Nouveau Style floral pattern takes up nearly the entire surface of the vase and the look is intriguing. This vase is large at approx. The inside of the vase is clean with no issues.
The base is impressed with the Rookwood flame along with XX for 1920 and the model number 2487. The condition is also excellent with no chips, cracks, scratches or scuffs and no stains. There are no repairs or alterations.We do not see any crazing present on this vase. This is a big beauty in excellent untouched original condition.
