This is an uncommon decor, with only a handful of documented examples. This vase goes beyond the few bi-color vases I have seen, and introduces a feathered design at the bottom, consisting of dark green, light green, white, and a tomato red.
At the time, iridized red glass was extremely costly and took great skill to create. This has that rare red color on two of the five "feathers, " and on a portion of the another, where it became thin and then absent. I believe this was Kralik's best attempt to achieve Loetz quality, and this example indicates that they experimented with various additions to the mainly pink body. A very nice reference piece.
One flake to an inner portion of the ruffle on the rim as shown from each side in the last two photos. Otherwise, excellent, no chips, cracks, or restorations.
