Rare substantial Harry Simeon signed and decorated Doulton Lambeth Abstract Vase Mint c1920. Simeon was a truly great artist and designer who created many designs for Doulton for reproduction including vases, bowls, figures, Toby's etc. Here we have an individual original one off piece personally created and decorated by him rather than a design decorated by an assistant. Signed with a piece number indicating personal decoration.

A substantial size it is decorated with a colourful tubelined abstract design which he would have likely done spontaneously without previous draft. Such pieces and designs were later to become the inspiration for other potteries notably in Stoke. In mint condition without any damage or restoration of any kind, as it left the works. Most items are from my own collection collected over 30 years.
