Rare Art Nouveau Fritz Hekert, Frederich Van Hauten Secessionist Vase Loetz 1880

  
On offer is this Fritz Hekert for Frederich van Hauten and Sohn. Secessionist iridescent glass and pewter mounted vase from the Art Nouveau period of the l880s. It is in squat ovoid form with crimped and dimpled shoulder, combed metallic thread over pink papillon ground with an Art Nouveau three handled cage with open tendril and foliate mounts.

The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration and measures 14cm (5 1/2") high x 27cm (10 5/8") in diameter. This is a beautiful and very rare piece and would be an attractive addition to any Loetz, Art Nouveau or simply decorative collection.
