Rare antique Art Nouveau Egyptian revival scarab beetle brooch, set with a real beetle body. This beautiful brooch has a strong Egyptian design, and features a winged scarab. The brooch also has claw set green paste stones, and has urn shaped drops and fire opal glass droplet. The brooch is made from gilt metal. Good condition including perfect beetle.

Some light wear consistent with age. Well made and finished, this is a unique item of Art Nouveau jewellery. It measures 46 x 26 mm. Please see photos for condition and type.
