Quezal, Flower Floriform Vase, Green Pulled Feather, Zipper Foot, Nice

  
The item is know as a flower or floriform vase. This vase has some size to it as it stands just shy of 8" at 7 7/8" tall and has a diameter of 6 9/16.

The round foot has a diameter of 3 9/16. This flower or floriform vase has a nice shape to it. It starts out on a round foot with an applied thin stem that is pulled up and hand shaped to a wide vessel with a ruffled top border or edge.

There are 8 ruffles and this form has the appearance of a flower in nature. The exterior of the vessel is decorated in a beautiful green feather pull pattern over a cream colored body. Looking inside the vessel is the most beautiful gold iridescence with very strong hues of fuchsia. The inside top edge has an outstanding onion skin texture. To finish this beautiful vase the foot of the vessel has a gold zipper pattern inside of vertical green panels that are slightly curved.

The foot has a nice rolled edge with a uniform border of glass surrounding the foot underneath. This is truly the quality of an experienced glass blower. This flower or floriform vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are no excuses to be made for this piece what so ever.

This piece is signed inside the center pontil with "Quezal" in a silver etched stylus signature mark along with the letter "N" and the number 543. I believe this to be an early piece of Quezal. Was the founder of Quezal. The quality of his glass was as good as Tiffany, Steuben and Loetz. Quezal art glass flower forms rarely come up in today's market.
