Paul Wranitzky Antique Ceramic Olive Green Vase Circ 1880 Ladybird Design

  

A Very Rare Paul Wranitzky Collectable & Beautifully Made Antique Paw Pottery Ceramic Vase, Circ 1880 in dark olive green with ladybird and dot design. Stamped On Base 1035 (3). Paw Pottery was founded in 1874 in the Czech Republic. As can be seen from the photos, this is a particularly beautiful bohemian art nouveau piece, with attractive and unusual detail on the neck, and a raised white dotted design on the body.

Given the age of this special piece, it is in remarkable condition. There are a couple of minor inconspicuous blemishes in the glazing on the external body of the vase, which are only visible upon close inspection, and which do not detract in any way from the beauty of this piece. There is also a small hairline crack on the inside of the neck of the vase, which most likely occurred early in the firing process, and when glazed was healed.
