The shade and base are unsigned and more than likely had a paper label at one time. This style of shade has been commonly misidentified as a Loetz shade. We now have documentation that clearly shows that these type shades were made by Pallme Koenig in the same general area as Loetz. I cannot find a documented sale of this candle lamp anywhere. I have seen the base on a few occasions.
I have never nor seen another picture of this candle lamp anywhere and I do great research. I would consider this an extremely rare lamp and was made to compete with the Tiffany Twilight candle lamps in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The twisted bottom is very similar in form as Tiffany's. This is a true candle lamp as you use a candle to light it.The candle itself is made of natural beeswax like the antique ones but this is of contemporary make, made in Michigan. Those of you who collect works of art from the Pallme Konig, Loetz or Bohemian glass factories, you will cherish this investment grade lamp. You will be hard pressed to find another one.
