Pair LARGE 47cm Art Nouveau Pottery Vases Poppy Flowers Style Weller Ravissant

  
Pair of large Art Nouveau pottery vases, each painted with stylized poppies, over a deep brown and green glaze, unmarked, but in the style of Weller Pottery and also Ravissant pottery. The decoration is slightly raised or piped on in areas. These two spectacular period vases display very well! It's very difficult to say what is damage and what was a manufacturing flaw as these are definitely hand crafted vases made from two part moulds. On one of the vases, the foot has a section that could either be a damaged/repaired area or a repaired firing split, it's hard to say because it is hard tom detect unless you really explore these closely. The other vase, the area I'm wondering about is on the vase top. There is an area that looks rough but it really is impossible to say if it has been a restored part as it's not easy to detect especially from the inside. I put on some stable furniture feet but vas you can see they just pull off. There is some glaze loss around the foot of the vases but much of it looks like firing losses. These larger items were very difficult to produce.

These are huge decorative pieces, and they will take some very special wrapping! I do have ceramic boxes that we bought from KITE so they will be sent in TWO boxes OR Collection from Huddersfield/Wakefield area of Yorkshire OR Courier. I don't want to send overseas not unless you're using a special shipper.
