This vase is quite petite as it measures 3 7/16" tall and is 2 5/8" in diameter at it swollen shoulder. This vase displays a swollen tapered form with a raised top lip. It is further decorated with an Art Nouveau pattern that resembles feathering.
The base glass is green Favrile. Green Favrile is considered rare. It is decorated with a feather pattern at the top of the vessel.
There is gold and green feathering. The color is outstanding as the bottom almost looks like blue Favrile that rises up in green with gold feathering in between the green fingers that reach the top lip. The iridescence is quite nice as you can see Platinum Blue, Green, and Gold iridescence. This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings to any of the glass.
There is a small inclusion (sand trapped) in the shoulder area that is not obtrusive. T he vase is signed on the bottom exterior edge L.
" for Louis Comfort Tiffany along with " Q 5141. The vase can be dated by the prefix letter Q. This vase was made circa 1902. Its amazing it has not been damaged in 122 years. Those of you who collect Tiffany Favrile miniature vases and want an wonderful example in form and condition look no further.
