Large Antique Pair Carl Stolzle Loetz? Art Nouveau Green Iridescent Glass Vases. Standing 25 cm high and 11 cm at their widest diameter, these vases make quite a statement. They are mould blown with applied steel rims. I'm not certain how the steel rims were finished originally, but I have seen others with a grey, pewter-coloured finish, so they may have been similar. Other vases, with collars of identical design, have been attributed to Stolzle, so I have done so similarly. Condition: I haven't washed the glass, which is rather grubby, but I have carefully removed most of the surface oxidisation, (rust), to reveal the steel of the collars beneath. There is some scratching on the glass just below the collars, so I imagine that this has been done before, but with a little less care. There are no chips, cracks or restoration, except for the rust removal. One vase appears to have a deeper iridescence than the other.
