Wilhem Kralik Söhne was an important glass works in the Austria-Bohemia region of eastern Europe. It was founded in 1815 and made high quality art glass through 1933...
Although the name Kralik does not appear on its glass... And the silvery outside is made by taking the glass while it is hot and rolling it around in powdered white glass, thus the rough texture on the outside and the silvery sparkle.Kralik Glass is often confused with Stevens and Williams silveria glass - one of the difference is that with the Stevens and Williams glass you will always notice some burn marks but not on the Kralik because no foil was used. This spectacular and rare, antique vase features green threading on the exterior over the silvery giving the rough texture with pink at the top fading down in color to green.. The rim is polished flat - the base is round with a slight indentation. The Kralik Vase stands approximately 10.25 inches tall with a 2 1/8 inches top rim diameter - base diameter is 2.5 inches.
Light signs of previous use and ownership needs to be taken into consideration - this has been previously owned but well cared for - free of chips, cracks, hairlines, restoration or staining - a spectacular vase with wonderful Silveria Threading!
