Jugendstil Loetz glassvase (Art deco period)

  

Dating from about 1900, this beautiful, elegant vase is created from green speckled " Papillon" glass. It is stunningly iridescent and is sourced from a private German collector. It measures 34 cm in height.

The Loetz glassworks was founded in 1840 in Klostermuhle in Austria. The factory was one of the most important Art Nouveau glass manufacturers and was renowned for its iridescent glass.
