

The green glass body is secured within plated mounts decorated in relief with Art Nouveau maiden heads sat on both sides. Made by "WMF", "WÜRTTEMBERGISCHE METALLWARENFABRIK" in Germany. The sculptor Albert Mayer directed their studio and specialized in maidens and nymphs with flowing hair.
Illustrated in the 1906 Catalogue with Nº 191, page 137. Marked in one foot: "a s" and "I/O".W/ stopper 15 3/4 40. Diameter mounted Base 6 7/8 (17.5 cm). Stopper long 3 3/8 (8.5 cm). Condition: Beautiful as pictured for a piece over 100 years old. The metal mount shown some waste.
The stopper don't fix well to the jug. We took detailed pictures, please observe them attentively.
