This is a decorative vase by Johann Loetz Witwe. This vase is featured in the catalogue of the National Arts and Crafts Museum in Prague, and is a very valuable item from the Art Nouveau period in 1902, featuring green glass with line decorations and iridescence.

The fantastic luster decoration on the body is a highly technical technique often used by Johann Loetz Witwe, and together with the unique and eye-catching form of the standing figure, it creates a presence that is indescribable. Because no two Loetz Witwe pieces are exactly alike, no two pieces made with these techniques are exactly alike, making them one-of-a-kind vases. The unique and distinctive shape of the slender vase is typical, but the number of bowls with a wide body is extremely rare, making them very valuable pieces.

Most of the works by Loetz Studio are not signed, and this one is not signed either. However, this item has a ponte mark on the underside, which is a proof of blown glass.
