Early to mid 1700's. First written reference dates back to the 17th century, when German settlers founded a village Dörfl there.
In 1712 one Elias Müller from neighboring Seifenbach (Rýovit) received the privilege from the local landowner Count Aloys Thomas Raimund Harrach of establishing a glassworks here, after which the adjacent settlement was renamed Harrachsdorf. Beginning of Harrach Glass Works early to mid 1700's piece. Measures: 11 inches tall, 10.25 inches deep, 1.5 inch rim/flat polished top, ribbed design begins at top. Runs down 4 sides evenly all the way to forming the feet.
