GIFT BOXED? ART NOUVEAU Antique STERLING SILVER Enamelled Vintage Brooch

  

A rare and beautiful brooch from the Art Nouveau era. The brooch is stamped STERLING to the reverse and is enamelled to the front in forest green. This looks lighter in some images as the flash has been used so as to highlight the flaws to the enamel which have happened over time and use.

There are also tiny silver flowers in relief which add so much charm to the composition. This is not to be confused with the art nouveau'style' pieces and this would have been an expensive piece in its day as it is quite substantial in weight and size. The brooch fastens with a strong pin in a substantial C clasp. The pin drops a bit but i have worn it in a jumper and it holds. However, someone who is handy with pliers should adjust it for safety.

The brooch is 64 mm app in width and weighs app 13.10 g. Very likely a unique piece to treasure or gift. Gift boxed for presentation but colours may vary if they run out! Happy to answer any questions.
