A Francois Legras'Belfort' shape, internally ribbed green glass vase enamelled with dahlias and foliage decoration. The vase has a quatrefoil rim and a round neck and body, the body is thickly hand painted in coloured enamels in a stylised dahlia and leaf design with a background pattern of'lily of the valley' in matt beige enamel- c1900. Sometimes these vases are numbered but not so this one. A similar vase can be seen in the book'LEGRAS' by Michel & Vitrat on page 266 plate 0725. Glass is excellent, no restoration, chips, cracks and no staining, enamelling is in excellent order for age, there are 2 elongated fine burst bubbles internally, one about 10cms and the other 7.5cms long on opposite sides of the undecorated part of the vase (I have tried to show these in the last 4 pictures), there are a few other smaller bubbles internally all of which are left over from the manufacturing process, other signs of wear commensurate with age and use.
