Czech Bohemian Art Nouveau Pair of Green Glass Vases
Czech Bohemian Art Nouveau Pair of Green Glass Vases. A very beautiful pair of flower vases manufactured during the era of Art Nouveau in Europe and rimmed with silver ring. Made in green glass, which has a slightly shimmering peacock coloured iridescent overlay, they have a beautiful shape and a peculiar four ribbed and dotted body. They represent a little masterpiece of the Art Nouveau Era, a quality hard to find nowadays. The maker is unknown, but they are close to Kralik's or Loetz's works. The silver rings are hallmarked with British marks for 1903 and 1908. Very good condition, no chip, no breakages.
One of the silver ring (the 1908 one) seems to be replaced, as it looks too large for the vase top. The other fits perfectly, and presents only small dents on the edge. Dimension 7 cm x 7 cm x 18.5 cm. The opening is approx 3 cm.
