Circa 1901 Art Nouveau Heliosine Pottery, Amphora Style Iridescent Ceramic Vase. Example of the naturalistic Art Nouveau (aka Jugenstil) movement from early 20th century, Austria. Handles are created using a ribboning technique that wrap around the vase a swirling pattern. Tall by 3.25 in.
Colors are very vibrant - I photographed this in a well-lit studio box; color are not enhanced. There is damage - the small arm in back is missing and has broken off. See Photos 3, 5, and 9.
