ANOTHER FABULOUS WMF FIND FROM MYANTIQUECOLLECTION2020. OFFERED TODAY FROM MY COLLECTION IS THIS ULTRA RARE MATCHING PAIR OF ART NOUVEAU CIRCA 1903 WMF GREEN CRACKLED GLASS AND ALPACCA SILVER (SILVER PLATED) QUALITY BUTTERFLY DESIGN FLOWER VASES. EXTREMELY RARE TO FIND A SURVIVING PAIR AND IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION. This is a beautiful pair of German.
Seemingly the same as pattern number 15 or 15a in the post 1906 WMF catalogue but these are taller and with gilded rims these vases are in superb condition with no damage to the glass. The vases are loosely encased in a silver plated wraparound holder with Butterflies and foliate designs. The silver plated is excellent and is uncleaned showing original age related patina. Both vase bases are FULLY marked with the marks for WMF Britannia metal AS for Apacca Silver and I/0.
9 and a half inches in height. They are a striking pair of vases which any collector would be proud to have. There is wear to the gilding noticeable on one vase rim with slight wear on the other.
Apart from that they are in excellent condition. I have described all of my items to the best of my knowledge. You may only return an item if there was a mistake made by me in the description of the item that I have overlooked. You thought it was etc... Please do not waste anyone's time if you are not interested.
