A perfectly-matched pair of absolutely gorgeous original Art Nouveau vases circa 1902 with a green patina bronzed surface. Cast in spelter metal, a zinc-lead alloy that ages to resemble bronze. These were designed by the French sculptor, Mme.
They are each signed along the lower edge Salon 1902 Bl. Each is decorated with a raised design of lady slipper orchid flowers which resemble Irises.
Neither vase has its original copper liner. 13" high x 7" wide x 5.5 deep. Scattered wear to patinated finish, minor corrosion around inside lip, minor corrosion on base and lower edges. The price given is for the pair, not each. Vases will be very carefully packed.
