Art Nouveau Theresienthal Wine Glass Green Bowl Gilt Decorations, 1900s
Exquisite German wine glass from the Art Nouveau period, made by Bavarian glassmaker Theresienthal, with tall clear stem, diamond shape faceted knop, and green bowl decorated with gilt swags. This is a marvellous and scarce example of an early 1900s wine glass by. Theresienthal, one of the oldest glass factories still in existence in Europe having been founded in 1836 via a Royal Warrant of Appointment, and known to have. Supplied quality glass to the best European Royal houses throughout the 19th Century. Very good antique condition, no chips, no cracks nor any repairs, minor losses to gilt decoration, light signs of age and wear, please refer to photos provided for detail.
