Art Nouveau Shell Comport Royal Dux

  

Beautiful art nouveau shell adorned with a female figure/flower, very much in the style of Royal Dux. The piece is unmarked but strongly resembles similar figures made by the Royal Dux factory in Austria at the turn of the century.

It dates from around c1900 and was either manufactured in Austria or Bohemia. The only mark I can see is a mould mark as per the photos which is typical for Bohemia and Majolica of that period. The comport has an overall height of 10 1/2" or 26cm and is 9 1/2 " or 24cm wide.

This is a lovely piece in good condition apart from a few old dark minor chips on the rim as per the photos. Otherwise no cracks or restoration. Please see my other listings.
