Art Nouveau Gaudard O il Lamp C 1910 Green Base and Aquamarine Reservoir With Funnel. French Depose which literally means hand made and patent granted. The majority of upper class homes had French lamps during the latter part of the 19th C and early 20th. Admire the Art Nouveau decoration on the base.. Pineapples were a common theme in French nouveau decoration.

Here we have them prominent on the base. Classic curves and swirls almost Baroque in origin. Height to top of burner 33 cm (13). Base of square side length 14 cm (5.5). Reservoir of fabulous aquamarine blue that radiates when in sunlight is of diameter 15 cm (6). The burner is original to the lamp. The chimney is 25.5 cm high (10). A beautiful item with great personality and presence. Total weight 1.4 kgs.
