When The Hatch Is Open It Creates A Great Working Space, With A Leather Writing Surface, A Sequence Of Letter Rack/Paper Indexing Cubby Holes And Small Stationary Drawer. Both The Drawer, Pull Down Hatch Door And Cabinet Have A Working Lock With One Key. Both The Drawer And The Small Cabinet Are Finished With Carved'Green Man' Faces In Relief. All The Other Front/Face Panels Are Fully Carved With Classic To Form Form Foliage And Sunburst Motifs.Also Showing Arts And Crafts Design Features Such As The Sides/Main Supports Which Are Finished With Arched Feet. The Top Shelf Is Finished With Carved Detail Plinth To The Rear And All Corner Edge Details Are Tidied With A Carved Final Detail. All Panels Are Solid Oak And Very Strong.
This Really Is A Piece Of Furniture Made To A High Standard. Condition Report: Remaining In Superb Condition, With A Natural Wear Patination To The Wood Finish. It Has Been Taken Care Of In Its Many Years Of Service Showing Where Its Has Been Handled/Used; With Lighter Oak Tones Showing Through In Graduation With The Darker Tones (where its been handled in the obvious areas). It Remains Strong Solid And Free From Any Damage. The Mirror Has Some Very Very Light And To Be Expected Spots.
