This lovely antique necklace is made of gilt tombac brass in a wonderful Naturalistic / Art Nouveau motif with oak leaves, pearls, and a green art glass acorn. It measures 16 total length, and the pendant measures approximately 2 x 1.5 with a 2.5 drop length including the pearl-set brass surmount. It fastens with a floral stamped box clasp and is unmarked but was most likely made circa late 1800s to early 1900s in Gablonz, Bohemia, in what is now the Czech Republic, an area famous for its glasswork factories and tombac brass bijouterie, particularly during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Gently kissed by time, its in lovely, wearable condition with some wear to the gilding and a darkened patina, primarily on the chain.
