Magnificent antique early Art Nouveau semi precious stone glass vase from c 1893. Manufactured by the famous Loetz firm in Austria in the Malachit Marmoriertes (Marbled) decor. Loetz started manufacturing glass resembling semi precious stones around 1888 and presented those vases in the World Symposiums in Chicago and Antwerp in 1893 and 1894.
Gorgeous clear casing wrapped in an emerald green ground marbled with lighter and darker shade of green threads to give an impression of being made of Malachite. Beautiful gold enamelings around the neck of the vase with arabesques motifs and exquisite colourful glass pearls, imitating moon stones and garnets, giving it an allover gem like look.
