Antique Loetz Iridescent Creta Rusticana Jugendstil Art Nouveau Vase c. 1900

  

Vertical optically moulded funnel body vase with fluted, crimped rim. The vase was produced by the famed Bohemian (Klostermühle, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary) glass works as part of their "Rusticana" décor introduced in 1899. The piece is done in the Crete / green shade and features the characteristic "tree bark" textured exterior. The surface has a slightly r osé iridescent finish. The vase measures approx 15cm in height and 10.5cm across the ruffled tooled rim.

The base has a circular polished pontil mark & measure approx 7cm. The vase is in very good condition apart from a shallow. 1cm chip on the base. Sent carefully boxed & tracked from a smoke & pet free home.
