An attractive Art Nouveau majolica jardinière produced by Eichwald in Bohemia during the late 19th to early 20th century. The bowl is formed with three pierced handles and a shallow, rounded body, glazed in a rich mottled green ground. The exterior is decorated with a central stylised floral motif, flanked by geometric panels, reflecting the transition from naturalistic Arts & Crafts influences to early Continental Art Nouveau design. The glaze displays the characteristic tonal variation associated with Eichwald's majolica production.
The base bears an impressed Eichwald factory mark, consistent with pieces made during the Austria-Hungary period.
