Antique Edwardian Green Onyx Vases, Neo-Classical, Art Nouveau, 1890-1910

These beautiful onyx vases are believed to have been crafted in France sometime between 1890 and 1910, as part of the neo-classical and art nouveau movements prevalent at the time. Their most likely purpose was for presentation, though they can also be used as candlesticks thanks to their fitting design. Both vases are fully decked out in smooth, green onyx that maintains a fine sheen despite its age, with very little wear and tear to be seen. Though they each have a few minor marks and chips here and there, they are otherwise in excellent condition. They are also both fitted with numbers inscribed on the backs of the bases, which are likely to have been security-etching from some point in the past, though they are not incredibly obvious. Overall, these vases would look perfect mounted on a coffee table, dresser or dinner table, and are a good conversation-starter for fellow enthusiasts of neo-classical and art nouveau design.
