3.5 cm wide, 3 cm tall. I was told it was Victorian, and from my knowledge I would possibly place it to c. 1880, as it is'almost' Art Nouveau with its fine detail craftsmanship, curved lines and natural shapes and forms, but still retains the reserved quality of a Victorian piece. It is a tremendous example of a piece of jewellery on the brink of a new movement, and would be a delicate piece pinned to a scarf or coat!

The gems are vibrant simulation emeralds, and the material is bronze. It might be pinchbeck, which is an early method for mimicking gold. I doubt they are real emeralds, but have stated "emeralds" on the materials listed so the brooch is viewed by many people who may be happy with antique simulation emeralds but have searched "emeralds" but more just intending'green gems'. It could likely do with a polish, but I will leave that to who this sweet brooch will belong to.
