An attractive Antique Austrian Art Nouveau pottery vase, dating to around c. The vase is hand painted with a flowing cobalt blue and green foliate design with touches of red against a cream ground. The globular body rises to a short cylindrical neck, with three arched strap handles in the Amphora style, a popular form from Austrian and Bohemian workshops of the period.
The base is impressed with the number 2505. A fine decorative example of early 20th-century Austrian Art Nouveau ceramics, ideal for collectors of Amphora, Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel, Ernst Wahliss, or Jugendstil pottery. Decoration: Hand painted cobalt and green foliate design.
Markings: Impressed model number "2505" to base. Condition: Very good antique condition. Light age-related wear to the glaze consistent with age, no cracks or repairs. This piece is unmarked but very much in the Amphora / Turn-Teplitz style, a form highly characteristic of Austrian pottery at the turn of the 20th century.
