A Silver Overlay Vase by Alvin Corporation / Alvin Silver Company. Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York.

A striking green glass vase with art nouveau design silver overlay. Cartouche chased with scroll work letter S. 1000 FINE and A stamp marks with serial number around the base.

A couple of tiny pin pricks in the silver overlay. I have been involved in the antiques business since 1971. My career took a leap forward when I joined Bonhams in 1976. Some five years later I became head of the Decorative Arts department.
