Set of 16 pristine, new Victorian / period Style Tubeline fireplace hearth / splashback tiles. White background, green and red floral detail. Each tile measure 6 inches square. Perfect for period Victorian and Edwardian fireplace. Kitchen or for any other part of your home. Tube lining is a method of decorating glazed items developed in the late 19th Century and used extensively during the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau periods. A bead of slip is piped by hand onto the tile surface to form the outline of each design. Coloured translucent glazes are then flooded into each area, the depth of glaze can be clearly seen by the varying shades of each colour.
