A spectacular antique peridot pendant brooch from the late 19th century! The ornate repousse work of sinuous lines, scrolls and curvilinear design is reminiscent of Art Nouveau period, circa 1900. The elegant piece boasts two stunning green peridot gems; the top step-cut peridot measures 10.50mm x 11.00mm, approximate weight - 6.00 carats and lower elongated kite-shaped peridot measures 14mm x 8mm, approximate weight- 3.20 carats. The colours in both peridot gems are a vibrant green with the top peridot displaying a slightly more deeper, lime hue - the clarity in both is superb. The peridots are set into slightly elevated bezels with minute pinches over each corner, holding peridots securely into place.

The finely crafted piece features a recessed textured background, bordered with elaborate repousse work. Such a elegant work of art!

A gorgeous stylized runner attaches to top if you wish to wear as pendant, or piece can be converted into brooch with the runner tucking behind. The piece has been xrf tested to 14ct gold, no stamps are sighted. A wonderful period piece that boasts two stunning peridots! One for the distinct jewellery lover... The overall condition of the antique piece is very good. Some minute surface scratches and tiny abrasions to facet edges of peridots are seen under magnification (mainly evident to lower peridot). Overall light surface wear to piece consistent with age. No apparent damage to gold.
