Lovely Antique Art Pottery Iris Jardiniere & Pedestal Set Celadon Glaze 22
The piece Displays Wonderfully and is in Very Good condition, especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks or damage with the exception of a shallow, 5/8 inch nick in the pedestal rim (last photo). There are some minor scuff marks (photo 11) and crazing, mostly on/in the bottom of the jardinière, that do not detract from this Great Find. The set measures 22 inches tall. The jardinière is about 8 ½ inches tall and 10 inches at it widest point; the pedestal is about 13 7/8 inches tall. The set was a recent estate sale discovery from an avid art pottery collector from suburban Philadelphia and is fresh to market. Neither piece is marked but the set was clearly produced in the 1920s by one of the potteries that operated in the Ohio River Valley during that era. I have seen this jardinière and pedestal attributed by others as made by Brush McCoy, Burley Winter Pottery and Robinson Ransbottom Pottery. Check out my other items.
