Hardcover Junk Journal, Guest Book Green and Gold Art Nouveau

  
This journal measures 8 3/4" by 5 3/4" with a 2 1/2 curved spine. There are 300+ pages inside, front and back.

The cover is an image from an old book that I digitally restored. It is made to look'grungy' purposefully. The papers include coffee dyed drawing paper, vintage book pages, unbleached deli paper, parchment paper, mulberry paper, vintage ledger paper, and steno notebook paper. The inside front cover has a flip out folder/folio that contains two large pockets and coin envelope tuck spot.

The inside back cover has a double pocket. The journal contains six signatures. Two of the signatures have lace trim. There is also a lot of digital stamping throughout the book.

A lot of the pockets in the book are made using authentic vintage/antique Library of Congress card catalog cards. Some of the tuck spots in the book are made using vintage tea cards. This book has a lot of color art nouveau flower images and also a lot of black and white flower images throughout.

I incorporated a lot of sewing on the pages of the journal too. There are a lot of pockets and tuck spots throughout. I added a bit of ephemera here and there to highlight the pockets and tuck spots. I send a bag of ephemera with the book, so its owner can add it where they would like.

This journal has a lot of writing space. I like to keep my journals fairly'naked', so their owners can fill it with their own ephemera and/or writing. That is what truly makes a journal beautiful.

Please allow for a shade or two of color variance. All computer monitors render colors differently. This book is completely made by hand. The cover is not from an old book that has been altered. I crafted the cover by hand one piece at a time.

8.75" by 5.75". Hollow back binding so the journal lies flat for easy writing. Old gold colored seam binding ribbon closure. Art nouveau floral theme throughout. Flip out folder/folio inside front cover.

Gold gilding on the spine. Lots of space for writing. Authentic Vintage Library of Congress card catalog cards.
