Green Man Carved Gothic Oak Pedestal Desk with Ebonized Finish and Leather Top

  
This is a handsome antique three part pedestal desk which dates to the late 19th century. The desk is made from solid oak and is heavy but fairly compact, it is a useful piece of furniture which will make a fine statement piece for any home or office.

The desk is set on twin pedestals each housing three drawers which are finished with carved green man handles. The twin pedestals sit under three further drawers to the top. The desk top is inset with a piece of tooled black leather which is a later replacement. The desk has an aged ebonized finish which has worn nicely over the years, the finish has been waxed for protection.

E desk is solid but well aged with a lot of character. The side panels of the pedestals have shrinkage splits to the wood and one handle is very worn.

The ebonized finish has wear. The drawer interiors have been cleaned and waxed. Kneehole space measures 57.5cms high x 47cms wide at the top.

The measurements are taken at the widest points and the desk splits into three parts. You are welcome to collect in person or we can arrange a courier.
