I love Paris and became familiar with French treasures & culture, while living there for a year. I discovered the Art Nouveau glassware of Emile Galle, made at the turn of the century (1900).

The French call this opaque glass with Japanese style work "poetry in glass". The price of an original Galle glassware can cost thousands of dollars, but Romania has provided a more affordable answer to owning such gorgeous glassware.

Romanian artisans make new glassware, such as this lamp, in the tradition of Emile Galle, and those pieces are signed Galle Tip. The production of these glass items require expertise and extensive labor. Romania is the premier country producing new Galle inspired glass, and since it is no longer produced in France, this country made this beautiful Galle style glasswork more accessible and economical. This gorgeous Galle tip table lamp is hard-to-find. The exterior is pristine - featuring large mountains, trees, lakes and castle on amber, blues and greens.

Shade: 4.75" High, Opening at bottom of shade: 4" Diameter. Base: 6.5" High, and 4" Diameter on bottom. The lamp weighs 2 lbs. It is fully functional, with a 5' electrical cord (which also holds the switch). The lamp is glamorous and decorative. But alone, it is a striking addition to your home.
