In the collection of Museum Boijmans in Rotterdam. Measures approximately: 9" H x 6" W x 4 3/8 base diameter. Govert-Marinus Augustine founded this family business in 1902 in the Bergen Op Zoom town. The De Kat workshop made art pottery with an Art Nouveau (Jugenstil) design, and in 1910, C. Van der Hoef made major design contributions. However, when art pottery sales slowed by 1918, the father and son Augustine closed the company.
