DAUM Rare Cameo Acid Etched Glass Sherbet Green Cranberry Iris's Gold Gilt

  

Cameo Acid Etched very early vase, basically in the condition that it left the factory, looks to be a 2nd, or a employee grabbed it. It has several small flaws in the sides, that are only noticeable if you run your hand down it! Very rare, color, etched by a master, hand carved cranberry colored Iris's, with Gold gilt & red enamel applied in spots, also it is made of Vaseline/Uranium Glass so it glows brilliantly under UV-Black light!! Slight gilt loss, expected w/this age! The years 1890 to 1900 DAUM used a Gold script to mark on base, of course a lot have been washed, wiped away by now.

This is a proven rare DAUM old first run cameo acid washed beauty! Measures: 9 inches tall by 4 inches by 3 inches at top & at base, little heavier/meatier, thick walls than a normal vase this size. The thickness of the walls may be early acid wash techniques for fear of damage if to thin!
