Circa 1890 Wileman Foley (pre Shelley) Lilac Fern Empire Tea Trio & Cake Plate

For sale is this rare tea trio and plate. Made by Wileman (pre Shelley) England. This pattern is known as Fern and is in the rare lilac colour. The cup, saucer, small plate and large plate and carry the pattern number 4978 in gold. They date to circa 1890.

In good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The lilac colour inside of the cup is slightly darker than the rest of the set. The saucer has a brownish blemish within the glaze. There is also some light surface and gilt wear. Cup measures approx 5cm in height x 9cm across.
