Art Nouveau, Jugendstil Pallme-König Art Glass Vase, Green Luster & Red ca. 1900

  
This is an excellent example of Austrian Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) style art glass. The piece is by the Pallme-König family's factory, and dates from 1900 through 1910. The piece is made of hand blown green luster glass, with'strings' of ruby glass applied on top. Pallme-König took their inspiration from Loetz, Gallé, and other famous artists working at the time.

There is no visible signature, which is why Pallme-König pieces are often misidentified as works by other artists. The piece is in very good vintage condition, with minor wear associated with the piece's age and use. There is a small'rough' spot at the bottom edge of one red string of glass. This is consistent with years of being picked up and put down, and not visible unless flipped over and actively searched for. There is also a VERY small chip at the lip of the vase, but it is not noticeable unless you are looking for it.
