Antique Mont Joye 14.5 Green Glass Vase Hand Painted Iris & Gold Gilt Mounts

  

Comments: Attribution based on known pieces of Mont Joye with very similar decorations. They measure 14 1/2" tall x 8 1/4" wide at the handles.

The glass is simi sheer satin glass with a little iridescent shine to it. The glass has been blown into a mold to get the 3D effect of the flowers and the melon sides.

The bottoms have a polished pontil mark in the center. The vase has a beautiful shape with melon side panels and blown out Iris Flowers in the front. Sits in a beautiful gilt mount, top and with gilt handles in shape of flowers, leaves and Vine. If it comes to more I will pay for it.

CONDITION: GOOD No chips or cracks. THINGS TO POINT OUT: I note that the glass has some patina.

This can be seen in picture # 21 where I point it out. It is mostly on the upper portion but about a couple of inches below the top. Where you would put your hands to turn it or handle it. This is where the dust might gather as it is the widest point of the glass.
