Stunning and rare Antique French Majolica Wall Charger/Plaque By Clement Massier dating to the mid to late 19th century. The wall plaque is a pretty shade of blueish green and depicts a female satyr and her cherubic satyr child laden with an armful of what appear to be grapes. Considering the nature of Majolica, the plaque is in very good condition with just one tiny loss as per pictures. The plaque is clearly marked with an impressed C.

Massier to the rim and as this is the only mark, I believe it predates the move of the business to Glofe-Juan in 1883. NB I have a similar small pair of Dunmore Majolica Wall plaques listed which are very similar in colour and subject matter which act as beautiful garnitures for the larger plaque.
